• Contact Us

  • Please look through the options below to find the one that best matches your reason for reaching out to us. Doing this will help us get your message to someone who can help. Due to the high volume of messages we receive, we aren’t able to respond to every message.

  • Want to invite a speaker or schedule an event in your area?

  • If you'd like to have someone from The Center speak at your event, please fill out the request form below. Our team prayerfully considers every request that comes in; however, we receive many more requests than we're able to accept. Even if we're not able to join you in person, we've created a wide variety of resources you may want to consider using in your community, including small group resources with a video component, a 12-video series for youth, and an online training for church leaders called the Digital Leaders Forum. Someone from our team will be in touch with you shortly.

  • Would you like to schedule a Zoom training or consultation?

  • Whenever possible, we encourage folks to apply the general resources we’ve developed to their own specific contexts. However, both Preston and Greg are also able to offer a limited number of consultations. Consultations can be either one hour or ninety minutes long. How you use this time is up to you: you can work through specific questions your team is facing, get training on an aspect of the conversation, ask us for feedback on written statements you are drafting, and much more. If you’d like to set up a consultation for yourself or your team, please give as much information as you’re able in the form below, and someone from our team will be in touch.

  • Looking for a counselor who honors Christian faith and understands sexuality and gender identity questions?

  • The Center is not a counseling organization and does not employ licensed counselors. However, we do keep a growing list of counselors who have told us that they help clients explore sexuality and gender identity in a way that honors their Christian faith. We can’t confirm or endorse any therapist’s methods; however, they have all indicated to us that they do not practice sexual orientation change efforts (sometimes called “conversion therapy”). If you’d like to know whether we have any counselors near you on this list, use the form below, being sure to indicate where you are located. (If you yourself are a counselor who does this kind of work, we’d be glad to add you to our list—please use this form to introduce yourself to us!)

  • Have a theological question or a ministry question related to sexuality or gender identity?

  • We’ve addressed many of the most common theology and ministry questions in our pastoral papers, our webinars, our podcasts, and our blog. If you’re looking for a comprehensive Christian introduction to the LGBTQ conversation and aren’t able to attend one of our conferences, consider enrolling in our Digital Leaders Forum. If you’re having trouble finding a specific resource, or if you’d like to suggest a topic for a future resource, use the form below. Although we can’t answer every new question we receive, we develop new resources in response to questions we hear frequently

  • Have an encouraging story or testimony to share?

  • Use the form below to share your story with us. Though we can’t reply to every message we receive, we love to hear about what God is doing!

  • Have a question about the language we use?

  • One question we frequently receive has to do with our use of terms like “gay,” “LGBTQ,” and “same-sex attracted.” To learn more about how these words are sometimes used and why all three appear in our materials, we recommend reading this blog dialogue and listening to this podcast. If you have questions about what pronouns Christians should use for trans* people, see our pastoral paper on this subject (paper #11 at this link).

  • Are you the Parent of an LGBTQ Kid?

  • We've developed an 11-part video series to help Christian parents navigate the journey of raising and walking alongside their LGBTQ kids; you can learn more and watch the series here. We’ve also recorded several webinars related to parenting LGBTQ kids, which you can find at this link. We highly recommend the work of Posture Shift in this area as well; we encourage every parent to get a copy of the book Guiding Families of LGBT+ Loved Ones and reach out to the folks at Posture Shift if you need additional support.

  • Are you an LGBTQ Christian who holds to historic biblical sexual ethics and is looking for community or a local church?

  • We are currently working to expand our list of Christian communities that intentionally include LGBTQ and same-sex-attracted Christians while continuing to hold a historic Christian understanding of marriage. If you're looking for this kind of community, use the form below and we'd be glad to tell you about any nearby churches or other groups that we're currently aware of. If you're currently part of such a community, please use the form below to tell us about it so we can recommend it to others!

  • Are you an LGBTQ person who is suicidal or in immediate danger, or are you a pastor or counselor working with such a person?

  • If you or someone you love is in immediate danger of any kind, please seek immediate help from the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline or call 911. Once the situation is stabilized, we encourage you to reach out to Posture Shift for help (by clicking here) and seek out professional counseling. If you need the names of potential counselors, you can reach out to us by selecting "Counseling Referral" on the previous page.
