Community Nutrition - Health Ambassador Volunteer Inquiry Form

Responsibilities and Requirements

In this role, you will:

Share your passion for nutritious foods, cooking, and community engagement.
Share basic nutrition knowledge and food safety practices through recipes, in-line education and presentations.
Assist with cooking demonstrations and food sampling at our Free Grocery Programs.
Work alongside the Community Nutrition Team.
Be a part of one of the most robust and innovative food banks in the country.
Add value to our program by enhancing the client experience.

Requirements:

Complete our online Health Ambassador and Food Safety Training.
Commit to a minimum of one site per month, for at least 3 months.
Ability to travel within Santa Clara or San Mateo County.
Comfortable engaging with diverse groups in a fast-paced setting.
Bilingual in another language is a plus (Spanish, Chinese, Vietnamese, Russian, or Tagalog)
