    for New and Existing Homes

  • To qualify for the rebate, the customer must have a load management switch installed on the equipment by a CGEMC employee before the rebate can be processed. The load management switch must remain on equipment and in operating status as long as CGEMC has a load management program. Limit one (1) total electric heat pump and/or one (1) water heater rebate per member/household. Heat pump and/or water heater must have been installed on or after January 1, 2023.
    For your participation in the Load Management program, you will receive a bill credit in November of up to $30 ($20 for HVAC load management switch, $10 for water heater). This program incentive is subject to change at any time.

  • Heat Pump

  • Maximum one HVAC rebate per member number per year. The heat pump must be total electric. A load management switch will be installed on all qualifying equipment.

  • Required Documents to process rebate application:

    Heat Pump

    • Proof of 2023 Purchase - Upload a legible copy of the sales invoice provided by the HVAC Installer.
    • AHRI Certificate - Upload a legible copy of the AHRI Certificate provided by your HVAC Installer.

  • Water Heater

    for electric storage water heaters , 40 gallons or larger

  • Maximum one water heater rebate per member number per year. Must be an electric storage water heater, tankless water heaters do not qualify. A load management switch will be installed on all qualifying equipment.

  • Required Documents to process rebate application:
