  • GENERAL UNDERSTANDING

  • Performance Music Eduction in Group Settings

Music Generation focuses on group lessons at its Music Hubs so parents/guardians should not expect 1:1 lessons although sometimes this may occur when new programmes are introduced for the first time or where certain less common or unique instruments/programmes are concerned.

    General

Dates/ Days/Times/Musician Educators (tutors) are subject to change, you will be notified by email or WhatsApp if there are changes.

    Class Groupings

    • Students are placed in classes with students of a similar standard, based on their age and on any prior experience as decided by Music Generation’s staff.
Minimum student numbers are required for our Music Hubs and individual classes to take place or to continue on a long term basis.
    • We operate on a first-come-first-served basis and prioritise spaces for those who have availed of our services in the past.
    • Average classes sizes range from 3-6 students.
    • The numbers of students within a class are set according to factors such as...ability, the instrument being taught, student age, the venue size, interest in a particular instrument. Decisions in this regard are at the discretion of Music Generation’s staff.
    • Normal class times are 30 or 40 mins and again this may vary from one group to another, is dependent on a variety of factors and this is at the discretion of Music Generation’s staff.

    Fees

The fee charged for particular classes may change as the numbers attending the class changes.

The Music Hub fees are as follows:

    • €8 for classes where up to 6 students are in attendance.
    • €5 for classes where 7 or more students are in attendance (in a larger room), normally as part of our Band Jam/ensemble work.

All fees are paid via our online payments system (Easy Payments Plus) at our website www.MusicGenerationGalwayCounty.ie

    • Once provided with a link to pay, you are expected to pay within 10 days of the notice, otherwise the child may lose their place.
    • Fees are non-refundable except in the cases of certified medical illness. The amount refunded is at the discretion of MGGCo.
    • Classes missed by individual students will not be replaced or reimbursed by Music Generation.
    • Music Generation does not accept cash or cheques.
Payments are made per term and not per class (to avoid increased charges (per transaction) accruing to the parent/guardian.

You can choose to download our T&Cs here . They are also available at payment stage.

Note: By filling this form you are not guaranteed a place at our Music Hub. Availability must be confirmed first by our staff and then payment made.
