  • Experience/Background

    Your acceptance into the program is not determined on your level of experience. This information is to help the team develop the learning content to suit the needs of all participants.

  • If you are successful in your application, you will be required to work with a team of young people from across the state in a committee group. Most of the work will take place outside of camp through emails or on the Facebook Page created for the program. Please select your top three preferences for which committee you are most interested in and provide a reason why. Please note there is no guarantee you will received your preference.

    This year we will be running both chambers at Parliament House. This means you can be a member of the Legislative Assembly or the Legislative Council.

  • Committee Preferences

    Please let us know which committee you would like to be in. Please note this does not guarantee you a position in the committee. We will try our best to accommodate all preferences.

  • Youth Parliament is a platform for young people to advocate on social issues they are passionate about. Please explain what you believe to be the greatest issue facing young people in your electorate followed by an approach you think would help. Be creative as you possible when explaining your idea to improve the situation.

  • I give full consent to the participant listed on the enrolment form to participate in the YMCA NSW Youth Parliament program. I understand that this involves attending overnight camp/s, participating in some physical activity, travelling to various venues in a hired bus and attending Parliament House in Sydney. 

     

  • Please note we reserve the right to remove participants from the program if we find they have breached our Safe Behaviour Policy and/or Respect Guid (to be sent out to succesful applicants)
