The following conditions apply to the hire of Upper Hunter Conservatorium of Music Instruments.
Good care will be taken of the Instrument at all times. Only the student named on the Instrument Hire application form and appropriate teachers will play the instrument.
It will not be lent, hired or otherwise disposed of during the hire period.
The hirer will be responsible for the maintenance of the instrument and accessories and will keep the instrument in the condition in which it was originally hired.
The replacement of certain incidental parts as the result of normal wear & tear whilst in the possession of the hired instruments are the responsibility of the hirer, such as reeds for woodwind instruments and strings and rosin for string instruments.
The replacement of parts as the result of normal depreciation over a number of years is the responsibility of the Upper Hunter Conservatorium of Music where due care has been taken by the hirer.
The hirer agrees to pay the cost of repairs or replacement of the instrument if damaged beyond repair, if such damage occurs due to neglect or misuse of the instrument.
The hire fee of $70 is to be paid per term, in advance, for the hire period.
A $60 refundable BOND deposit is required on all instruments. This deposit will be refunded if the instrument is returned in the same condition in which it was originally hired.
