COMPENSATION
- Wages for this position are $21-$26 per hour, depending on your level of experience and the risks posed by the client's environment.
- If you already hold a security officer's license (guard card), we will also pay your transfer fees to bring your license to Iron and Oak.
SICK & SAFE TIME
IAO complies with all City of Seattle labor laws, including the Paid Sick and Safe Time Ordinance. Employees earn 1 hour of sick time per 40 hours worked, with a maximum of 80 hours that can be accrued. Employees are encouraged to maintain their physical fitness and mental health so that they are safe on the job. The use of this benefit is encouraged when the employee deems it appropriate.
COMMUTER BENEFITS
- Employees have access to a free ORCA card to help cover their commute costs.
- Iron and Oak officers who accrue 90 days with the company have access to downtown parking lots for private vehicle use.
STATE OF THE ART EQUIPMENT
IAO officers deploy with industry-leading equipment including personal protective armor and radios capable of reporting an officer's location to dispatch in the event they are unresponsive. Each officer is also issued first aid equipment and are provided with body worn cameras.
TRAINING FOR NEW HIRES
Licensed security officers receive 60 hours paid training prior to being placed at a client's property. Iron and Oak trains its employees above industry standards to facilitate their ability to respond to any client situation they are faced with. We comply with and exceed all training expectations required by RCW 18.170.
