    • We invite you to submit a proposal to serve as Timbrel Artist in Residence at the 2022 NHC Summer Institute, July 25–31, 2022, at the University of Hartford in West Hartford, CT (depending on pandemic safety). Institute TAIRs offer a course that meets for 90 minutes each day, Tuesday through Friday, as well as potentially planning a community-wide program, visiting "Kidstitute", and other community programming.

      Artists in Residence receive tuition to Institute for themselves and their families, a travel and materials budget, and an honorarium of $1,500.

      The theme for Summer Institute 2022 is:

       וְיַחֵד לְבָבֵנוּ / Unite Our Hearts / v'Yacheid L'vaveinu.

      We strongly encourage you to keep it in mind for the course and programming you propose.

      You are welcome to submit more than one proposal, in which case, please complete a separate copy of this form for each course you are submitting. Completed proposals are due by January 16, 2022 UPDATED DEADLINE: January 23, 2022.

    • Step 2 - Timbrel Artist in Residence Program Information  
    • Please introduce yourself and your course to us. Your responses need not be lengthy, but should be substantial enough to provide the selection committee with a sense of who you are as an artist and teacher, and how you would interact with the NHC community.

    • Step 3 - Your Course Description  
    • One of the primary responsibilities of the Artists in Residence is to facilitate a four-session course, which will be included in a roster of other courses offered at the Institute. You can see an FAQ for potential course teachers here and the tips particular for Artists in Residence here.
