Do you… compost your banana peels?

Do you… organize street clean-ups?

Do you… advocate for the bike lanes?

We are developing two travelling exhibitions about Climate Action that will tour across Canada from 2022 to 2025.

This exhibition uses real stories and hands-on interactives to foster a hopeful problem-solving space, where we are all empowered to participate in climate action and become a part of the solution. We want your story.

Videos that are submitted may be featured in our exhibition or on our social media platforms. 

Your video will: 

• Be 15 seconds to 1 minute long
• Be filmed in portrait mode (vertical)
• Show off your climate actions
• Be a maximum of 500MB

DO:

• Include your first name
• Tell us where you are from (city and province/territory)
• Share your group’s website or social media handle (if applicable and with permission)
• Be CREATIVE
• Include music, but only if you write and perform it yourself, or have acquired the necessary licenses from the music owners*
                  *Videos including unlicensed music will be removed from selection

DON’T:

• Say your full name in your video
• Include music that you did not compose/record yourself
• Say your address in your video
• Include photos or people in your video without their permission

 

For good and valuable consideration, the receipt and sufficiency of which I hereby acknowledge, I hereby grant to Science North, its affiliated companies, successors, employees, agents, distributors, assigns, and licensees the right to use my appearance, name, performance, voice, likeness, image, photograph and biography and any statements, conversations, remarks, speeches, and vocal, musical or instrumental sound effects made, rendered or performed by me on video or by means of other recordings or fixations in any media, (the foregoing collectively referred to as the “Recordings”), for use in whole or in part by Science North in or in connection with the Production, and any advertising, promotion, sale, publicity and exploitation of the Production including on Science North’s social media platforms, and any ancillary products developed in connection with the Production, throughout the world in all media, whether now known or hereafter developed, without limitation or condition, in perpetuity.

I affirm that: a) any and all subjects in the Recordings have provided consent for their likeness(es) to be used for the purposes of the Production, and b) that any music contained in the Recordings is either original music composed and performed by me or I have acquired the necessary licenses from third party rights holders to use the music in the Recordings.

I acknowledge that Science North is not required to use any portion of the Recordings. Science North shall have the unlimited right to vary, change, alter, modify, add or delete from the depiction in the Recordings, and to rearrange and/or transpose the Recordings without any approval by me.

I will not have or acquire any copyright or other intellectual property rights in anything in respect of the Production, and all such intellectual property rights shall vest in Science North absolutely. I hereby waive any and all moral rights I may have in the Recordings.

Further, I do hereby release Science North from any and all claims, liability and demands whatsoever which I, my administrators, heirs, successors or assigns might otherwise have in copyright, libel, slander, trespass, breach of confidence, privacy, nuisance, negligence, or for any cause, matter or thing whatsoever, howsoever caused, arising in connection with the use of the Recordings in connection with the Production.

I understand that Science North is relying on the agreements and consents given above in producing the Production, and that my agreements and consents are irrevocable and that in no event may I enjoin the exercise of any of the consent or rights I have granted.

This Agreement shall be construed in accordance with the laws of the Province of Ontario, and the laws of Canada applicable therein, and shall be treated in all respects as an Ontario contract and the parties hereby specifically submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Courts of Ontario.
