Welcome back to IN-PERSON BAX! Please read all the information below, as many of our practices have shifted since we last saw you in the building.
BAX is a nonprofit organization committed to providing high-quality accessible arts education programming to all families regardless of financial means. We provide financial assistance in the form of tuition subsidies and/or installment plans for our Youth Education Classes (ages 1-18) and our School Breaks & Summer Arts Programs based on an honor system of your self-expressed need. We do not require financial documentation.
General Spring 2022 Registration Information
For all BAX Spring 2022 Studio Classes, tuition is priced at three tiers of sliding scale subsidies of up to 40% so that each family can assess the price that works best for their household. These subsidies are based on an honor system of your-expressed-need (we do not require financial documentation). Additionally, you have the opportunity to enroll in a payment plan.
The Fall Semester will run from Monday, January 31, 2022 through Saturday, June 25, 2022. Please refer to the website for the full Spring 2022 class schedule, as well as further details about tiered tuition, After School Pick Up, and class policies. You can self-register online with up to 40% assistance HERE.
This application is for families seeking a subsidy of 60% or above.
To apply for financial assistance of a 60%, 75%, 90%, or 100% subsidy for any BAX class, please complete this application and submit it to BAX. We will be in contact with you regarding your financial assistance request within ten days of receiving your application. You must complete a new application or extension for each new term, even if you have received financial assistance in the past.
Your completed application will serve as a deposit for your child(ren)’s temporary registration in BAX classes. Please attend the first week of classes as usual, even if you have not yet received a financial aid offer.
A limited number of full (100%) scholarships will be available. To be considered for a full scholarship you will be asked to submit a statement of interest and need in addition to your application. This statement need not be formal, i.e. it can be written as a bullet point list or submitted as an audio message (whatever form is accessible to you). Most importantly, this statement should express why and how you will benefit from BAX programming and serve as an introduction to your family (especially for new families).
