FULL TERMS AND CONDITIONS – Toyota Legendary Moments Competition By submitting an entry to this competition, you: accept these Terms and Conditions; warrant that you are a parent or legal guardian (“Guardian”) of a child who meets the eligibility criteria in clause 4. Instructions and information on how to enter this competition form part of these Terms and Conditions. The Promoter is Rural Press Pty Ltd, ABN 47 000 010 382, 159 Bells Line of Road, North Richmond, NSW, 2754. The Sponsor is Toyota Motor Corporation Australia Limited, ABN 64 009 686 097, 155 Bertie Street, Port Melbourne, VIC 3207 Eligible Entrants To be eligible to enter this competition, entrants must: be a resident of Australia; and All ages Entrants under 18 years of age must have a legal parental or guardian (“Guardian”) consent to enter the Promotion and collect the prize. Directors, management, employees, officers and contractors (and their immediate families) of the Promoter and agencies associated with this competition are NOT eligible to enter. Immediate family means any of the following: child or step-child (whether natural or by adoption), grandchild, niece, nephew, brother, sister, step-brother, step-sister or first cousin. Promotional Period The promotion commences at 12:01am AEST on Thursday, 17 July 2025 and closes at 11:59pm AEST on Thursday, 11 September 2025 (“Promotional Period”). Entry Guidelines Entries must be a video taken by the entrant. No longer than one (1) minute long. Entries must include the name, email address and phone contact of the entrant. Guardians submitting entries for their child must provide this information including their child's name, age and postcode as outlined in clause 18. Entries are limited to unique videos. The same video will not be accepted as a valid entry more than once. If there is a dispute as to the identity of the entrant, the Promoter and the Sponsor reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to determine the identity of the entrant. Entries must be created solely by the entrant, and must be the entrant’s original creation. By submitting an entry, you warrant the video is original and has not been published elsewhere and that you own the copyright. Entries must feature a video of and in Australia or be of Australian people. Entries cannot contain inappropriate, offensive, derogatory, threatening, defamatory, indecent or unlawful content or that promotes hatred or harm against any group or person. It cannot contain violent or sexual imagery or include an image of a person or persons unless you have their consent. The Promoter reserves the right at any time to verify the validity of of entries and entrants (including an entrant’s identity, age, and place of residence) and reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to disqualify any individual who the Promoter has reason to believe has breached any of these Terms and Conditions, tampered with the entry process or engaged in any unlawful or other improper misconduct calculated to jeopardise the fair and proper conduct of the promotion. Errors and commissions may be accepted at the Promoter’s discretion. Failure by the Promoter to enforce any of its rights at any stage does not constitute a waiver of those rights. The Promoter’s legal rights to recover damages or other compensation from such an offender are reserved. How to enter Entries open 12:01am AEST on Thursday, 17 July 2025 and closes at 11:59pm AEST on Thursday 11 September 2025 (“Entry Period”). Entries received outside of the Entry Period will not be accepted. To enter, you must, during the Entry Period: Shoot a vertical video that is under one (1) minute long, recreating your own legendary footy moment in your backyard or local oval; and Visit the competition landing page at www.canberratimes.com.au/sport/toyota-hub/competition/ and complete your entry, include the following details: All entries MUST include the following: Full name: Email: Telephone number: Postcode: Description: Are you 18 or under: Yes/No Guardian’s full name, email address, postcode, telephone number, name of the child and relationship to the child (for anyone under 18 years of age) Videos must be maximum one (1) min long. An acceptable resolution (minimum 200dpi) and quality, as determined by the Promoter in its sole discretion A maximum of one (1) video can be attached. Vertical video only. Australian Community Media & Toyota Motor Corporation Limited reserves the right to crop videos. Entries not containing the correct information may be deleted. Entrants are required to retain a copy of the video submitted in the highest resolution possible. Entrants may only use video editing software to ensure they are entering the correct file size and the correct file format. Entrants will receive one entry into the competition for each unique video submitted in accordance with the entry guidelines. Multiple entries are permitted; however, each entry must feature a different video. Duplicate or identical videos will not be accepted. By entering, you agree that the Promoter and the Sponsor may publish the entrant’s name, suburb, video, in any form, including print, online, or exhibition and at any events to be held by the Promoter or the Sponsor. For an entry to be valid, it is a condition of entry that the entrant consents for their contact details to be collected by the Promoter and the Sponsor, for them to contact the entrant with special offers, promotional material and for their data to be used for customer profiling. Prize The prize includes an Ultimate 2025 Toyota AFL Grand Final Experience for you and your mate. AFL Authorised GF Promotion:GFAFL25/94. Prize details include: Two (2) x tickets to the 2025 Toyota AFL Grand Final Return economy flights from the winner’s nearest capital city to Melbourne Two nights’ accommodation (twin share) in the city of Melbourne Total prize value is estimated up to $5,000. If the exact prize is unavailable, the Promoter and the Sponsor reserve the right to substitute with a prize of equal or greater value. The prize is not exchangeable, transferable or redeemable for cash. Prize/s are subject to any additional terms and conditions imposed by the relevant supplier or the Sponsor. Tickets are subject to venue and third party T&C's. Judging This competition is a game of skill and creativity. Chance plays no part in determining the winners. Judging criteria for videos include; Entries will be individually judged based on artistic and creative merit by a panel of judges, which includes representatives from both the Sponsor and the Promoter. Entries must feature a video of and in Australia or be of Australian people. The winner will be selected by a judging panel based on creativity, originality and relevance to the theme. The judging will take place on Thursday, 12 September 2025, 65 Gwynne Street, Cremorne, VIC, 3121. The winner will be notified by email within two (2) business days and their name (first initial, last name and postcode) will be published on the competition landing page on Friday, 13 September 2025. The judges’ decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into. The Promoter and the Sponsor may decline to accept any entry which, in its reasonable opinion, does not comply with these Terms and Conditions. The Promoter and the Sponsors decision in relation to any aspect of the competition is final and will not enter into any correspondence regarding the result of the competition winners and prizes. If the Promoter is unable to make contact with the winner or winner’s Guardian within two (2) days or the prize is not claimed within two (2) days after the winner or winner’s Guardian is contacted, that winner will forfeit the prize. The Promoter reserves the right to draw additional reserve entries and record them in order in case of an invalid entry or ineligible entrant. The winner agrees to participate in and cooperate as required with all reasonable media requests relating to the prize, including but not limited to, being interviewed and photographed, filmed and/or chaperoned throughout the duration of the prize. Intellectual property You confirm that, to the best of your knowledge, the entrant’s entry is their own original work and does not infringe the intellectual property rights, copyright, moral rights or other rights of any third party. You agree that the Promoter has an unrestricted, irrevocable, transferable, right and licence to use and modify the entry by cropping or colour correcting the entry including for promotional purposes without the payment of any further fee or compensation. To the extent permitted by law, you unconditionally and irrevocably consent to the Promoter modifying the entry as described in this clause. The Promoter will use reasonable efforts to attribute the entrant as author of the entry. Withdrawal from competition You may withdraw an entry you submitted from the competition at any time before notification of finalists and winners by notifying the Promoter via email at photoprize@austcommunitymedia.com.au. If you withdraw an entry from the competition, the Promoter will remove that entry and will not use the entrant’s details or entry for media or promotional purposes. If you withdraw an entry from the competition, that entry will no longer be eligible to win a prize. Miscellaneous Entrants (whether winners or not) grant the Promoter and the Sponsor non-exclusive rights to reproduce their video in material form, to publish and/or communicate it to the public for the following competition-related purposes, and anything incidental to such purposes, by the Promoter, competition partners and sponsors: marketing, publicity, educational and publication uses for the Promoter, the competition and its exhibition in all media, including but not limited to electronic/digital, broadcasting and print media, in perpetuity. Where reasonable, the Promoter will attribute the entrant as the author of the work and reproduce the work in full. Details of the work may be used at the Promoter’s discretion. Entrants (whether winners or not) will not be entitled to any fee for such use. Entrants consent to the Promoter using their name, likeness, video, voice and or writing in the event they are a winner or non-winner. Entries which, in the opinion of the Promoter, are incomplete, incorrect or incomprehensible, contain defamatory or offensive content or infringe intellectual property rights are not eligible to win and may be removed from the competition and the relevant entrant will be disqualified. If there is a dispute as to the identity of an entrant, the Promoter reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to determine the identity of the entrant. The Promoter may, in their absolute discretion, disqualify an entry you have submitted if, in the opinion of the Promoter, you breach these Terms and Conditions, engage in dishonest or unethical conduct in relation to the competition, manipulate, tamper or interfere with the conduct of the competition, do not comply with the entry process, or conspire with others to gain an unfair advantage. The Promoter may audit you if they suspect you of having engaged in such breach or conduct. Errors and omissions may be accepted at the Promoter's discretion. Failure by the Promoter to enforce any of its rights at any stage does not constitute a waiver of those rights. The Promoter's legal rights to recover damages or other compensation from such an offender are reserved. The Promoter and the Sponsor may request information from you relevant to entry or participation in the competition, such as proof of residency or age, including birth certificates. The Promoter may, in their absolute discretion, transfer an entry you submitted to a different Category or disqualify an entry you submitted if you provide insufficient information, false information or fail to provide information. The Promoter and the Sponsor are not responsible for any late, lost, misdirected or damaged entries. Nothing in these Terms and Conditions limits, excludes or modifies or purports to limit, exclude or modify the statutory consumer guarantees as provided under the Competition and Consumer Act, as well as any other implied warranties under the ASIC Act or similar consumer protection laws in the States and Territories of Australia (“Non-Excludable Guarantees”). Except for any liability that cannot by law be excluded, including the Non-Excludable Guarantees, the Promoter (including its respective officers, employees and agents) excludes all liability (including negligence), for any personal injury; or any loss or damage (including loss of opportunity); whether direct, indirect, special or consequential, arising in any way out of the promotion. The Promoter and the Sponsor are not responsible for any delays, problems or technical malfunction of any telephone network or lines, computer systems, computer equipment or software, technical problems or traffic congestion on the Internet or at any website, or any combination thereof, including any injury or damage to your or any other person’s computer related to or resulting from entering this competition. If such problems arise, then the Promoter may modify, cancel, terminate or suspend the competition. The use of any automated entry software or any other mechanical or electronic means that allows an entrant to automatically enter repeatedly is prohibited and will render all entries submitted by that entrant invalid. To the extent permitted by law, the Promoter and the Sponsor are not liable for any loss, damage or injury whatsoever (including, but not limited to, indirect or consequential loss) resulting from this competition, including in relation to damage to entries. If, for any reason, this competition is not capable of running as planned, including war, terrorism, state of emergency or disaster, infection by computer virus, bugs, tampering, unauthorised intervention, fraud, technical failures, or any other causes beyond the control of the Promoter which corrupt or affect the administration, security, fairness, integrity, or proper conduct of this competition, the Promoter reserve the right in their sole discretion to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the competition. The Promoter is not responsible for any errors or omissions in printing or advertising this competition. All costs associated with entering the competition are your responsibility. You understand and agree that the Promoter and the Sponsor will collect personal information from you when you enter the competition and use it for the purpose of running the competition (which may include disclosure to third parties for the purpose of processing and conducting the competition) and for promotional purposes surrounding the competition. Other than for the purposes of the competition, the Promoter will not share any personal information about the entrant with any other party without consent. Entrants’ personal information will be handled in accordance with the privacy policies of ACM (https://acm.media/privacy-policy/) and Toyota (https://www.toyota.com.au/privacy). You warrant and agree that you have the authority, or have obtained the requisite authority as the case may be, to consent to the collection, use and disclosure of the relevant entrant’s personal information by the Promoter as described above in clause 57. By entering the competition, entrants agree and consent to Australian Community Media (ACM) and Toyota using their entry content, name, likeness, image and/or voice (including any video, description or recording) in any media for promotional, marketing and publicity purposes related to the "Toyota Legendry Moments" campaign, without compensation, for an unlimited duration.
