Information on the CALD audit project
The CALD audit project is a pilot project that will develop, implement and evaluate an auditing tool and process to improve the ability of mainstream NGO AOD treatment services to respond to the needs of people from CALD communities.
The cultural inclusiveness audit tool will be piloted in four NGO AOD services - two in the Central and Eastern Sydney PHN area (CESPHN), and two in the South Eastern NSW PHN area (Coordinare).
Participation as a pilot site in this project involves:
- Time and resource commitment for 16 weeks (ca. April to August 2021)
- Undertake auditing process with cultural auditors, reviewing and creating an action plan (initially targeting three priority action areas)
- Allotting staff resources to the implementation of the action plan*
- Participate in the evaluation led by UNSW Centre for Social Research in Health
*Staff allocation shall be dependent on the size of the organisation/pilot site and can be discussed with the project team before commencement of auditing process.
