  • We are delighted that you want to be part of the Solfest family. The festival relies on its volunteers to make it a safe, fun, exciting anf beautiful space for families to enjoy. Your contribution is invaluable. The team at Solfest want you to have a great experience with us. We will provide you with any training and induction that you need for your role, provide a safe social space where you can spend time with other volunteers and crews. You will have a dedicated crew camping area, crew catering (a meal for every shift that you work), a free Solfest crew t-shirt and the opportunity to learn new skills and make new friends. There are some fantastic networking opportunities too. Many of us that now manage crews started off as volunteers!

    You are required to work 3 x 6 hour shifts or equivalent of 18 hours, whatever works best for you and your crew leader.

  • What crew would you like to be part of? Please consider this carefully before choosing. Where are you skills and experience best suited? How long can you be on site? 

    Build crew are on site up to two weeks before the festival. The work is physically demanding. If you can't be on site for much longer than the festival itself please choose another option.

    Break crew will be a separate to the Build crew this year. Again physically demanding especially after a weekend partying!! You will be expected to stay up to a week after the event. If you are unable to do this please choose another option.

    Crew catering. Chef needs assistance in the kitchen a week before the festival as well as during the festival. If you are able to help out before please make sure you click the correct dates on the form to show your availabilty.

    Art/Decor. The crew works the full week leading up to the event. If you are unable to do this please choose another option.

    Traffic. We need a large traffic crew from Thursday morning and over the weekend. In addition we need a few traffic volunteers from Monday 22nd August. If you are able to arrive on site early to help out with this please make sure you click the correct dates to show your availability.

    Live event volunteers. There are a variety of roles needed for when the festival goes live. So if you're unable to arrive on site until Wednesday 24th there is still loads for you to volunteer for. You will have plenty of time off to see the festival and enjoy yourself.

  • VOLUNTEER DEPOSIT

    Last year Solfest had 300 Volunteers apply but only 90 of them turned up so this year we require a deposit from all volunteers who apply. This is to provide us with some guarantee that you are committed to work the shifts that will be allocated to you. For 2022 we are requesting a deposit of £93.00. To make this affordable to you we have set up a payment plan so that you can pay your deposit in 4 payments. The first payment on submission of this form will be a non-refundable set up fee of £3.00. Thereafter you will be required to pay 3 further payments of £30.00. This will be deducted from your account on 3 consecutive months on the same date that you submit this form. Once you have paid the full amount your payments will stop automatically.

  • When you have submitted your form it will redirect you to Skiddle for you to make payment for Volunteer ticket/deposit.

    YOU WILL NOT BE ISSUED A VOLUNTEER TICKET UNTIL YOUR DEPOSIT IS PAID IN FULL. YOU WILL NOT BE ALLOWED ON SITE WITHOUT A VALID TICKET.
