Purpose
The For Pete’s Sake/Peter Francois Scholarship is a $2,000.00 renewable scholarship awarded to students who are entering the 9th grade at SJCA. The student will be from a Catholic parish that has demonstrated a commitment to their school, church and/or community.
Eligibility
- A current member of a Catholic parish and registered to attend St. Joseph Catholic Academy for 9th grade.
- Have demonstrated a commitment to youth service through a combination of community involvement and extracurricular activities in church or school.
Scholarship Requirements
- Be registered at St. Joseph Catholic Academy as a freshman for the following school year.
- Enclose a letter of recommendation from a teacher, principal and/or parish priest.
- Complete a SJCA Financial Aide form in a timely manner, as required by the Admissions Office. (Financial need will be taken into account by the scholarship committee.)
Selection Process
The Scholarship Award Selection Committee will review applications. Scholarship money will be sent directly to St. Joseph Catholic Academy to be applied to the recipient’s tuition.
All relevant documents must submitted together by March 15, 2026 with the scholarship application to be considered complete.
*Scholarships that are awarded may only be used towards billable tuition. Scholarships may not be used for fees or other charges which include but are not limited to hot lunch, athletics or clubs fees and books. Students who receive a scholarship and are later awarded a Wisconsin Parental Choice seat will forfeit their scholarship. Scholarships are prorated during the the duration of the school year.*
*All scholarship recipients are required to submit an impact statement that reflects on their experiences and the benefits of the scholarship. This statement must be submitted no later than May 1, 2026, as part of the scholarship agreement.*
