- learner self-harming or has mentioned they used to self-harm
- learner victim of abuse of any kind (sexual/emotional/physical)
- learner does not have permanent roof over their head (sofa surfing)
- learner having suicidal thoughts
- bullying
- grooming
- hazing
- stealthing
- peer on peer or child on child abuse
- e-safety (online) related concerns
- forced marriage
- controlling behaviour
- domestic abuse
- Honor based abuse
- breast ironing
- gang initiation
- child criminal exploitation (CCE)
- child trafficking
- child sexual exploitation (CSE)
- FGM
- learner run away from home or missing
- signs or disclosures of neglect
- evidence of bruising or injuries that seem suspicious
- changes in behaviour (become withdrawn)
- eating disorders
- radicalisation, county lines & Prevent Duty concerns
- allegations against staff or other learners
