Purpose
The Jack and Louise (Covelli) Bucko Memorial Scholarship will award $500 to two registered High School Students. The money will be applied towards the winner’s high school tuition at St. Joseph Catholic Academy.
Louise Covelli was a student at St. Joseph High School beginning the first year it was open and graduated in the 1959. She and Jack met at Kenosha High School in 1958 and they married in October 1959 at St. Mark Parish with dreams of a large family. Over the years, Louise and Jack instilled gratitude within all seven of their children - Dan, Todd, Amy, Patti, Heidi, Tim and Scott by asking daily at the dinner table - 'What are you thankful for today?' This tradition carried on through their grandchildren, especially at Thanksgiving when Louise would read the book 'I'm Thankful Each Day' by P.K. Hallinan each Thanksgiving.
