  • Video: Save Money & Take on Climate Change with An Energy Assessment

Buildings are a major source of carbon emissions, and also a place where small improvements can help reduce monthly utility bills while increasing comfort and the value of the property. The City of Milwaukee's new video encourages everyone to get an energy assessment of their home!
  • Energy Assessments:

Thanks to new federal policy changes, getting an energy assessment of your building is even better for savings, rebates, tax credits and access to special fair green financing options to help pay for building upgrades! And with natural gas prices expected to increase, learn how you can reduce heating bills this winter.
  • Lead Paint

If you would like to determine if the paint in your home is lead based, and want to explore identifying where lead paint hazards are, or how to get a "Lead Safe" home designation with the state, we recommend choosing the "I'd like to hear about other optional health/safety add-ons" option below to learn more about lead paint options
  • Air Leaks

If you're concerned about air leaks that can impact your comfort and energy bills, we recommend choosing the "Advanced Energy Assessment" below. We use a "Blower Door" which, as shown below, uses a large fan to depressurize the home to identify how leaky it is and identify where to best seal the leaks. Air leaks are often one of the biggest causes of heat loss, and insulation is generally not air tight.
