About IDGR and IDGR DNA Registrations
International Dairy Goat Registry has been a FULL DNA Registry by IDGR policy and breeder choice, since 2020. IDGR pioneered the San Clemente Island Feral Goat DNA Registration and analysis program.

Policy as of 2021 requires that all Registrations come with a DNA sample directly to our Florida DNA office. If you are selling or moving goats to other farms, plan ahead.

Why?
Over the past 43 years and continuing has seen far too many errors in lineages and breed. Purity of Breed Record and Breed and traceability is crucial to the survival of the San Clemente Island Feral Goat.

International Dairy Goat Registry has been the breed and breed record preservationist for 43 years and we must ensure purity of the breed record. Appointed by the Founding Heritage Breed organization and Foundation Breeders.

View Member in Good Standing:
- Ensure accuracy of your DNA Registrations and Transfers
- Ensure you are sending your DNA submittions to our IDGR Genetics Florida office when submitting Regisgrations.
- Ensure you are pulling two DNA samples for your entire herd. One for IDGRi-SCI and one for yourself.
- Ensure that all Identificaiton matching the official IDGR goat's paperwork is physically on the goat. In all cases, except for a few special approved cases, the primary physical goat identification must be at least one form of USDA-approved Identification.
- Ensure that if Identification becomes unreadable or ripped out, you will promptly submit the new form of Identification to the IDGR office via email.
- Ensure that you will promptly transfer (transfer submittion and payment) up change of ownership AND ensure that the goat's physical identification matches the transfer and IDGR Regisgration or Regisgration Application.
- Know that transfers of goats without USDA Identification physiclaly on the goat will not be approved. Remember that it is law that a true ownership transfer requires the USDA-physical Identification and the signature of the transferor with date.
- Respect rights of other breeders and understand the strong partnership between lab, IDGR-SCi and our members for over 43 years.
