In consideration of being permitted to participate in the 2024 Lei Queen Pageant and Lei Aloha Festival conducted by Hawai`i Aloha Academy, I hereby voluntarily assume all risks of injury, including injuries sustained during the 2024 Lei Queen Pageant, the Lei Aloha Festival and Festival Parade and other appearances, death or damage to my person or property in connection with my participation in the 2024 Lei Queen Pageant and Lei Aloha Festival and sanctioned appearances as a member of the Lei Court. I, as well as my heirs, successors and assigns, hereby release, discharge, hold harmless and covenant not to sue Hawai`i Aloha Academy, their agents, employees, volunteers, and officers from all claims, actions, demands and causes of action of any kind whatsoever, I, my heirs, successors and assigns may have for personal injuries and property damage which may result or may incur by my participation in the 2024, Lei Queen Pageant, Lei Aloha Festival, and public appearances promoting the Lei Queen Pageant, the Lei Aloha Festival & Parade and scheduled appearances throughout the reigning year as a finalist. I understand that if selected as the 2024 Lei Queen or a member of the 2024 Lei Court, I will actively participate in the Lei Aloha Festival and other scheduled appearances set for the year of reign and will be present on stage at the crowning of the new Lei Queen and members of the Court to be selected in 2025. There will be a ¥300,000 penalty levied against the contestant should there be a breach of any part of this agreement that has not been sanctioned by the producer of the Lei Queen Pageant, Lei Aloha Festival & Parade.
