For document or file requests, please describe the records in sufficient detail to enable department personnel to reasonably identify and locate the records.
Per the Public Records Act, NMSA 1978, Section 14-2-9(C), NMDA will provide the requested records in the file format in which they exist at the time of the request.
FEES
As allowed by the New Mexico Inspection of Public Records Act, there is a fee of $.25 per page of black and white copies and $1.00 per page of color copies. There may also be a fee for downloading and compressing files.As stated in the New Mexico State University Notice Regarding Inspection of Public Records (https://legal.nmsu.edu/wp-content/uploads/sites/28/2020/07/07.08.20-CURRENT-IPRA-POSTER-NOTICE.pdf), a requestor may be required to pay a reasonable fee, in advance, for copying costs of no more than $1.00 per page, or in case of electronic copies the actual cost of downloading the copies and the cost of the electronic storage device. The New Mexico Department of Agriculture may also charge the actual cost transmittal (mail, fax, etc.).
