- DNA sample sent to IDGR with IDGR Internal DNA order form
- Official USDA-approved Identification physically on goat
- Payment
- If you are not the breeder, then a the Breeder-signed completely filled out IDGR Registration Application with side photo of goat at breeder's farm
- If you acquired the the goat, then IDGR transferer completely filled out/signed with clear side photo of goat at time of transfer. Also Verification that the USDA-appproved Identification is physically on goat is required
- All fees must be paid, including outstanding Transfer fees

About Transfers
- If you transferred a goat to another person, you are required to complete and pay for transfers. If you do not, the goats remain in your name (if you are the IDGR Registered owner and the offspring of the goat transferred are NOT registerable)
- If you acquired a goat who is not yet transferred to you name, attach the IDGR Transfer form, which is completely filled out by the Transferrer, signed and dated
- All Transfers must state if the Official USDA-Identification physically on the goat matches the Official goat's paperwork.
- If the Identification does not match, please do not purchase the animal
- If the animal does not have Identification matching the paperwork and the transferer is NOT the IDGR Registered Owner, usually the animal is not registerable.
