   The Great Sand Dunes Loop to the Sand Dunes Hot Springs  

3 Day ADV loop from the Colorado Springs Airport to the Great Sand Dunes. Overnight at the Sand Dunes Hot Springs and on the Arkansas River near Salida, CO.

 True ‘E’ Ticket ADV Loop. Friday to Sunday.

(E-Ticket was for the Best rides at Disneyland back in the day)

Loop is Clockwise

500+ miles in 3 days, with an alternate to avoid any Challenge into the back of the Dunes on Day 1.

Days 1 there is easier and longer loop over Pass Creek Pass and La Veta Pass.

Day 2 there is a challenging loop over Ute Pass and the Otto Mears Tollroad, or ride over an Easier Loop over Marshall and Monarch Passes.

Day 3 ride to Garden of the Gods from Salida and the South Platte River, and you could ride up Pikes Peak?

Option to camp both nights is included or you could rent a Glamping Cabin at the Sand Dunes Pool. Soaking at the Sand Dunes Pool is included.

Camp on the Arkansas River at the Drift-in or stay in a Hotel in Poncha Springs on Day 2.

The Club will portage your gear so you may ride unencumbered.

You will receive phone compatible GPS tracks, with maps of the routes, electronic roll-charts and voice navigation with blue tooth if you wish.

T-shirt & Finisher pin. Ride with GPS Club Membership and the camaraderie of like-minded individuals around a Campfire. Chase Truck, dinner Saturday night and Breakfast Sunday morning on this spectacular loop. 

• With all the widespread OHV closures, knowing where to go and how to get the best out of your riding day is now more valuable than ever before.
• We have scouted out the best routes and eliminated the dead ends, private property fences and U-Turns at closed routes.

• Since you will be self-navigating the route with GPS Tracks, there is no official start time, you may start any time you wish, though typically we like to see everyone on the trail before 8 am.
• We do not ride in large groups. We insist everyone use the Buddy System and look out for each other throughout the day.
  

The Great Sand Dunes Hot Springs Loop will be limited to 25 club members

• On this 3 day Adventure, riders will spread out, yet get to know new people, find new riding partners and enjoy the great camaraderie of your fellow enthusiasts.
• We give you options for gas stops, make arragements for meals & camping, and do most of the logistics work for a fun and efficient 3 days of riding.

• If you want good challenges, the best balance of roads, trails, and incredible scenery, and a fun time, with no work putting it all together, this is it.
• The Great Sand Dunes Loop is a Classic Club ride. You won't find games, talks, or seminars.
• You will find the camaraderie of like-minded enthusiasts around a Campfires and a good time.

Bring your Adventure model with new Off-Road tires.

• We use as little pavement or possible.
• The ride into the back of the Great Sand Dunes is sandy and a bit of a challenge.
  
• There is an alternate longer & Easier Loop on Day 1 that avoids the sand.
• Over Pass Creek Pass to La Veta Pass.
• Day 2's loop challenging loop is over Ute Pass and the Otto Mears Tollroad.
• Or you coud take a longer, easier route over Marshall and old Monarch Passes.

"For the Great Sand Dunes Loop, you can't sleep in till 10. You gotta hit the Trail by 9 and not screw around all day smelling the colorful flowers.

This is not a chaperoned, follow the leader trail ride. Not a wait around, 20 minutes every hour so guys can piss kind of ride."

The Great Sand Dunes Hot Springs Adventure stages and parks and starts at the secure Colorado Springs Airport Long-term paking lot.

Parking is just $8/ day

This is a club adventure ride, not a race, so all motorcycles should be plated and insured on this self-guided GPS based adventure.

GPS tracks will be provided via email before the event.
