Milpitas Adult Education New Schoolwide Learner Outcomes (SLOs)

Upon completion of their Milpitas Adult School program, the students will successfully:

# 1 Identify and explore personal, educational, and workplace goals.
- Set SMART personal, educational , and workplace goals;
- Develop hard and soft skills in job seeking, job maintenance, and job advancement.
- Acquire relevant academic skills to transition into higher education or desired vocational training
- Update knowledge to keep abreast of technological developments

- Access resources connected to safety net services
- Volunteer and participate in neighborhood social activities
- Participate in civic organizations and making positive contributions
# 3 Develop multiple literacies
- Recognize and celebrate cultural differences
- Communicate effectively in various different settings (verbal-oral-writing)
- Improve their own digital literacy
