2026 Summer school in France - Application form for faculty (staff) Logo
  • 2026 Summer school in France - Application form for faculty (staff)

  • This application form is for MSIs faculty and administrators.

    The summer schools in France (previously called Bootcamps) allow students to spend two weeks in France during the Summer to explore current global issues, improve their transversal skills and broaden their intellectual horizons.

    The summer schools:

    • "Ocean & Energy Towards Sustainability" at EIGSI in La Rochelle from June 26th to July 10th;
    • "Paris Noir: Exploring diversity and equity politics in France" at n+i engineering institutes in Paris from June 9th to June 22nd;
    • "Future tech for good leaders: empowering the next generation of climate innovators" at Ponts Business School  in Paris and in Beauvais from July 12th to July 25th.

    Participation for Faculty and Administrators:

     The summer schools in France are also open for professionals at MSIs (Minority Serving Institution) including community college, HBCU, tribal college, hispanic serving institutions, predominantly Black Institutions, Asian American and Native American Pacific Islander-Serving Institutions (AANAPISIs), and Native American-Serving Nontribal Institutions (NASNTIs)!

    Participating in this program gives you the opportunity to familiarize yourself with the French higher education system, connect with French counterparts in the host institution or in other institutions in the area, and gain innovative ideas to implement upon your return.

    We encourage you to prepare for your stay in France (contacting staff and faculty from your host establishment).

    Hence, the idea is not for administrators or faculty to act as chaperones for the students, but rather to be proactive and engaging actors. Ultimately, we want this program to facilitate the creation of new collaborations between MSI's and French institutions.

    Please be aware that MSI's is primarily an opportunity for students. Administrators are accepted on a limited, space-available basis.  Priority will be given to those who clearly demonstrate how they can be an asset to their institution in pursuing new partnerships.

    The participation cost is $1000 including accommodations and meals.
