Tiny Paws Nicu is a private practice independent rescue ran by me, a 20 year old girl! Disclaimer, I am NOT a 501c3 rescue!
FOSTERS MUST SHOW PROOF OF ALL SPAY/NEUTER PAPERS AND VACCINES!
Fostering saves lives!
You just have to provide a short term, loving, warm, home until they are healthy, independent, and ready for their furever home! Don't worry, you'll get more kitties soon enough after they leave! You'll have constant kitten loves and cuddles!
Fostering is an amazing experience!
Knowing that you saved their life, you're the reason they are getting a better one!
We only take in orphan neonatal kittens 0-4 weeks old. However, I would love fosters for weaned kittens so I can move my bottle babies and make space for more!
you are not allowed to foster for other organizations while fostering for Tiny Paws Nicu.
It is required that,
1.) your pets are up to date on FVRCP. We don't know what kind of illnesses a new kitten could bring in so we need to keep our pets safe! I am not responsible for your personal pets!
2.) you have a quarantine room / area so that kittens can be safely quarantined until we know they are healthy! For instance a bathroom or spare room. A large dog crate is most recommended for quarantine as it's easier to clean and disinfect rather than disinfecting your whole house, bathroom, and or spare room! Every single kitten needs to be quarantined for atleast 2 weeks or longer depending on their situation.
3.) Your cats MUST be spayed/neutered!
You will foster the kittens until they are 2lbs and spayed/neutered. Which will normally be 8-12wks of age. Fostering is about a 6-12 week commitment! Depending on when they get adopted!
you must be able to come to my nursery in Altoona Pennsylvania for exams, intakes, vaccines, dewormer, medication, testing, and more.
ALL vetting will be covered by me!
Every kitten will go home:
• spayed / neutered
• up to date on FVRCP, FeLV, and rabies vaccine
• up to date on dewormer with a clear / negative fecal test prior to adoption
• combo tested (FIV/Felv)
• flea & earmite treated.
• microchipped
Please understand that you will most likely have to deal with:
• gross kitten poop
• eye and nose discharge
• administering oral medicine and eye ointment
• the loss of kittens
You do not need experience! I will teach you everything you need to know and I'll be with you every step of the way!
Please fill out this form in its entirety. I look forward to your application!! If any questions, please contact my Facebook page, Tiny Paws Nicu!
