Dear Colleague in Ministry,

The Archdiocese of Santa Fe maintains a list of presenters and speakers who are willing to offer their services throughout the Archdiocese. This application is for lay persons as well as religious sisters and brothers. Priests and deacons who wish to be included on the list should simply contact Michelle Montez at 505-831-8221 or mmontez@archdiosf.org . All speakers must go through or have gone through a background check. For the protection of those who agree to place their names on this list, the list will not be published unless the speaker so desires. It will not be distributed or given to anyone outside of the Pastoral Ministries Division staff unless you check the box indicating your approval. Published information will include your name, community/parish, contact information and what it is that you are available to share. Your application will be kept in the strictest of confidences. Approval of your application does not constitute endorsement by the Archbishop or the Archdiocese of Santa Fe and should not be construed as such.

Please note: the parish or group will call the desired presenter directly to negotiate the specific topic and content, the date, time and place of the presentation, and any stipend for the presentation, which may at times include meals and lodging. If you have sufficient theological training, have the gift of touching peoples’ hearts through preaching, or the gift of teaching or facilitating groups, we are inviting you to complete the enclosed application to place your name on this list. To do so, please complete the enclosed Speakers’ List Application.

The information you supply on this application will be added to our Presenters and Speakers Database. It will not be distributed or published, but will be viewed by the Archbishop and members of his staff. Those who are looking for a presenter or preacher for a particular event will not be allowed to see this form. By your signature below, you agree that:

Your teaching and preaching will be in full accord with the official teachings of the Roman Catholic Church and especially the Second Vatican Council;

You understand that approval does not constitute endorsement by the Archbishop and should not be construed as such.

Please note that your application will not be complete until we recieve:

1. This completed speaker application form

2. A letter of good standing / recommendation from your Pastor, Bishop or Ordinary

3. Proof that you have completed the Virtus training within the last 5 years

4. Proof of a clear criminal background check

Once we receive all of the required documents your application will be sent to the speakers' approval committee and Vicar General for review.

Because of this process it is best to apply for speakers approval at the earliest possible date in preparation for your presentation. Generally, it takes 4-6 weeks to receive approval. You will be notified whether or not your application has been accepted.
