HBD is one of the most active developers in the UK, with a commercial development pipeline in excess of £1.1billion. We now have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Project Manager (Industrial & Logistics or Urban Regeneration) to join our team.
HBD is part of the Henry Boot Group of Companies and operates nationally from seven regional offices. Whilst our projects are diverse, they each reflect our ethos of creating places with purpose. Our people are the key to our ongoing success, and our collaborative approach ensures we continually deliver and manage high-quality, sustainable projects.
The Role
We are looking for an ambitious Client-side Senior Project Manager with a proven track record in a range of either Industrial & Logistics or residential and commercial projects. Our clients depend on you and your highly skilled team to deliver forward-thinking schemes on time and within budget. Our award-winning projects allow you to create your own professional legacy within a highly supportive organisation.
In this highly varied role, you will attend project team meetings, liaise with consultants, and assist with technical aspects of bid document preparation. You will be responsible for commenting on specification, buildability, construction budgets, construction programmes and professional fees.
Ultimately you will be responsible for ensuring that the building contract is administrated correctly and efficiently and that cost, programme and quality targets are achieved whilst keeping the Project Director informed of progress at all times.
About You
- You will have a background in either I&L or commercial and residential development and be able to use your established network of contacts within the consultant and contractor market to manage fairly complex projects whilst working in a project lead capacity.
- You will have secured MRICS status or equivalent and possess a sound understanding of property development and construction procurement processes.
- You will contribute and add value during the pre-contract stages of a project and be highly competent in monitoring the performance of the design team and contractor during the post-contract stage.
- You will take the lead on workstreams allocated to them and report back effectively to the project director.
- You will be competent and comfortable in leading an external project team and keen to support the development of the junior team members.
- You will be familiar and up to date with current Project Management tools whilst also being confident with commenting on construction procurement routes, construction contract terms, professional appointments and warranties.
