Event grants are based on the total number of paid hotel stays within the city limits of Batesville, Arkansas, attributed directly to the event. Hotel stays outside of city limits will not be considered for funding.
Paid Hotel Stay
Definition: A paid hotel stay is an overnight visit at a hotel regardless of the number of nights booked. (Ex: 1 person that books more than one night = 1 paid hotel stay)
Approved applicants will receive $20 per paid hotel stay. Event Grants will be doubled for events held during the months of November, December, January, and February.
Ex: 100 paid room stays (Mar–Oct) = $2,000 / 100 paid room stays (Nov–Feb) = $4,000
Reoccurring Event (Event that has previously been awarded funds and occurs annually) Approved applicants will receive $15 per paid hotel stay. For each paid hotel stay that exceeds the previous total of stays, approved applicants will receive $20. Event Grants will be doubled for events held during the months of November, December, January, and February.
Funding will be issued after the event is complete, hotel stays have been verified by the Batesville Area Chamber, and all requirements have been met by the grant applicant.
