First Year Zoo Crew applicants:
- Essay: one-page, double spaced, typed essay (no bigger than 12-point font) describing why you think zoos are important and how they are used as tools for conservation education.
- References: Please attach 2 letters of recommendation from current teachers, school administrators, pastors, or community leaders on school/company letterhead. Letters from parents or relatives will not be accepted. Please have them email the reference to education@cameronparkzoo.com
- Photograph: Please attach a current picture of yourself with a solid background. The application is not considered complete without the photograph.
Returning Zoo Crew applicants:
- Essay: one-page, double spaced, typed essay (no bigger than 12-point font) describing what have you gained from the Zoo Crew Program.
- References: Please attach 2 letters of recommendation from current teachers, school administrators, pastors, or community leaders on school/company letterhead. Letters from parents or relatives will not be accepted. Please have them email the reference to education@cameronparkzoo.com

Volunteer Agreement for ALL accepted Zoo Crew members:

• Should you be chosen to participate in the Zoo Crew program, it is imperative that you be at the Zoo when you are scheduled. This requires parents/guardians to be in full support of you and the program. This includes providing necessary transportation, signing of necessary forms, etc.

• There will be a $45 fee for your t-shirts and supplies ($30 for returning Zoo Crew).

• Applications will be accepted up to April 27th, 2024 at 5:00pm.

• MANDATORY parent/guardian meeting Tuesday, May 28, 2024 at Cameron Park Zoo. Meeting begins at 6:00 p.m. on Gibbon Deck.

• Zoo Crew training is MANDATORY. Zoo Crew is required to attend all of the training, no exceptions. The dates for Zoo Crew training are Friday, May 31, 2024 at 6:00 p.m. until Saturday, June 1, 2024 at 2:00 p.m. (This is an overnight at the Zoo.)

• Parent/Guardian signature is required to complete the application.
