    Honor: ‘to hold in highest respect, esteem, admiration’
  • An honorary life member of DCMGA is the highest honor the Association can give and recognizes only the best of the best.

    This recognition is conveyed to an individual to acknowledge their outstanding and distinguished service and their significant and consistent active contribution to the Denton County Master Gardener Association. The nominated individual must be a certified Master Gardener who has consistently exhibited the belief in and the desire to help further the work of this organization for a minimum of 10 years.

    The nominee must be a certified DCMGA member, in good standing, with a minimum of 10 years of service.

  • The recipient of this award will:

    • be a member of DCMGA for life
    • receive an Honorary Life Member badge
    • no longer have to pay the annual dues
    • no longer have to satisfy the annual Volunteer Service or Continuing Education
    • be required to complete the Annual Membership Renewal form and agree to background checks until retiring from active involvement in DCMGA
