As the volunteer Fundraising Coordinator of Defeat PPD, you will be responsible for performing research and strategic planning to attract individual and organizational donors to our ministry. You will plan and direct a variety of fundraising campaigns both in-person and virtually to help sustain our efforts in assisting women with postpartum depression.
About You:
- You are an outgoing individual with at least one year of experience in overseeing fundraising efforts
- You love (and excel at) planning and directing fundraising events
- You can confidently secure participation commitments and donations
- You are an excellent communicator
- You have experience in marketing or a passion to learn
What you would do in this role:
- Research to provide history and estimates of potential donors and investors
- Run highly efficient campaigns that maximize contributions while minimizing costs
- Develop a strong network consisting of government officials and media representatives to open doors for fundraising opportunities
- Produce strategies for increasing fundraising revenue
- Develop and update donor databases
- Create and run web-based fundraising events
- Demonstrate ownership of the fundraising budget and expense reports
- Retain sponsors, volunteers, and participants for fundraising events
- Write promotional material, outreach documents, and verbal speeches for exposure events
