About the City Calling Global Initiative:

Overview: The City Calling Global Initiative is a faith-driven movement aimed at empowering individuals to recognize and fulfill their God-given calling to transform the cities and communities where they reside. Directed by Drs. Joe and Kathy Amos, from Canton, Mississippi, this initiative operates on the core belief that each person has been uniquely placed by God to make a significant impact in their local community.

Mission: The mission of the City Calling Global Initiative is to awaken and inspire individuals to embrace their purpose, understanding that they have been divinely positioned in their city for a transformative role. By discovering their God-given gifts and potential, participants are encouraged to effect positive change through faith, purpose, and prayer.

Core Focus Areas:

Faith in God: Encouraging individuals to deepen their relationship with God, understanding that faith is the foundation for any lasting transformation in their community.

Purpose and Calling: Helping individuals discover and embrace their specific calling and purpose in the city where they live. The initiative emphasizes that every person has a role to play in making their city a better place.

God-Given Potential: Empowering people to recognize and develop their unique talents and gifts, provided by God, to make a meaningful impact in their community.
Power of Prayer: Promoting the significance of prayer as a powerful tool to bring about city-wide transformation. Prayer is viewed as the catalyst that fuels personal and communal change.

Vision: The vision of the City Calling Global Initiative is to see cities transformed through the collective efforts of individuals who have answered God’s call. The initiative envisions communities thriving as people align their lives with God’s purpose and work together to make a difference through faith, action, and prayer.

Methods of Impact:

Workshops and Seminars: Offering practical training and spiritual insight into how individuals can engage with their community, discover their calling, and implement their gifts to influence city transformation.

Prayer Networks: Establishing prayer groups and intercessory teams focused on praying for the needs and transformation of cities across the globe.
Mentorship Programs: Providing guidance and support for individuals seeking to live out their calling, helping them navigate personal and communal challenges while growing in faith and leadership.

Community Projects: Partnering with local churches, organizations, and individuals to initiate community-based projects that address specific needs and bring about positive, faith-inspired change.

Leadership: Drs. Joe and Kathy Amos, leaders of the City Calling Global Initiative, bring years of ministry experience and a deep commitment to seeing communities transformed by faith. These selfless volunteers are committed to interceding for their cities, states, nations, and the world. With a focus on leadership, justice, education, healthcare, and global concerns, Ambassadors believe that their prayers have the power to shift atmospheres, transform societies, and usher in divine intervention. Through their unwavering commitment to prayer, they seek to create lasting change in the world around them, one prayer at a time).City Calling Praise & Worship Volunteer (City Calling Praise and Worship Volunteers are anointed individuals called to lead gatherings in praise and worship, creating an atmosphere of spiritual connection and devotion through music and song. Their role is integral to prayer gatherings, citywide revivals, and other ministry events, where they help draw people into the presence of God through worship).City Calling Meeting Space (City Calling Global Hubs are venues created through voluntary partnerships to support prayer gatherings, workshops, training sessions, and various community events. These hubs are integral in fostering spiritual, educational, and social growth in local communities. By leveraging existing spaces, City Calling Global Hubs maximize the use of community facilities in a sustainable, collaborative manner).City Sponsorship Partner (City Calling Sponsors are passionate individuals, businesses, or organizations dedicated to making a meaningful impact within their community. These sponsors have a heart for their city, and they believe in driving positive transformation by supporting citywide initiatives that aim to uplift and unite local residents. Their contributions fuel efforts that promote spiritual, social, and economic revival, ensuring that their city flourishes in various aspects of life).City Administration (City Calling Administrative Volunteers are dedicated individuals who contribute their administrative and communication skills to support our organization’s operations. They volunteer between 3 to 20 hours per month, with flexibility in choosing to work remotely or at our headquarters if they reside within a 50-mile radius. These volunteers are integral in helping us streamline operations, manage communications, and assist in various administrative tasks to ensure that our programs run efficiently).City Team Building (City Calling Team Builders are dynamic individuals responsible for bringing people together, coordinating teams, and executing the mission and vision of City Calling. These dedicated volunteers are trained in strategic team development, with the ability to discern the difference between good leaders and great leaders. Their role is crucial in ensuring the successful formation and management of teams that align with City Calling’s goals).City Honors Rewards Program (Volunteers involved with City Calling Honors understand the power of discipleship, have excellent communication skills, and are passionate about connecting people with their God-given purpose. These volunteers support City Calling’s mission by playing an active role in community outreach, sharing the vision of the organization, and inviting others to participate in meaningful ways).City Resource Center (The City Calling Resource Center is a comprehensive hub dedicated to providing individuals with the resources, tools, and support they need for holistic growth and development. Our mission is to empower people at all stages of their personal, spiritual, professional, and leadership journeys.
