Summer Staff Counselor Application
At the core of the Learn & Serve summer experience is a team of college age counselors. These counselors strive to live like Jesus year-round, and during the summer they serve as an example of God’s love to each of the participants at Learn & Serve. Counselors will be leading small groups, facilitating team building activities, teaching appropriate technology, and leading students through simulations in SIFAT’s rural village and urban slums. While being a counselor for Learn & Serve is not easy. They will be hot, hungry and tired. They will feel exhausted emotionally and physically. They will experience what life is like in a 3rd world country, and will be leaders of youth going through the same experience as them. Therefore the position is one of the most fulfilling experiences a young adult can go through. We need leaders who are tough, and can maintain positivity throughout the experience to be a role model. Counselors will impact the lives of young people from all over America. They will inspire students to go back to their local communities and love their neighbors. They will be heroes and role models in the eyes of the young people coming to SIFAT.
