  • Will the employee be working for the same company name listed in question 1 or for a subsidiary?*

  • Assuming that the new H-1B registration system mirrors the process for last year (FY 2022), there are three different pricing options for H-1B registration:

    • Registration only - $250 + $10 registration fee (option 1)
      • Basic demographic information and identification documents would be submitted to the firm
      • The legal team would register the candidate in the USCIS cap registration lottery
      • Only prepare the petition after the selection has been made (at the price listed in option 3 below)
    • H-1B analysis and initial preparation of the filing - $1,000 (option 2)
      • Recommended for roles for which an H-1B has never been filed or for candidates who have never held H-1B status
      • The legal team would evaluate job title, description, duties, beneficiary’s educational qualifications, and identifying documentation and confirm the prevailing wage
      • Only prepare the petition after the selection has been made (at the price listed in option 3 below)
    • Full petition preparation – Full legal fee + $10 registration fee (option 3)
      • Includes registration, analysis, and advance preparation of the file.
      • The filing is guaranteed the first week of the filing window being open.
      • All documentation would need to be submitted in advance

Some companies will choose to do registration only if they are familiar with the H-1B, but if you have never held H-1B status or the role has never been tested as an H-1B, it is recommended that you pursue the second option to identify any potential challenges in advance.

If your registration is selected, the H-1B filing fees would be due at the time of filing, as well as a $100 administrative fee to cover the printing costs, shipping fees, etc.

  • Based on the above information about new H-1B pricing, which option would you like to pursue?
