It is important to follow the following format to take your photos, As you can see from the photos above and below, you need to copy the same format which is industry minimum requirements both from Casting Directors and to fit into Casting Cart formats.
PHOTO GUIDELINES
- Take your photo up against a white or light coloured wall
- Make sure there is lots of light and that the photo shows your true skin and hair colour.
- Ensure that the camera is portrait (upright, not sideways)
- If you have longer hair, ensure to have your hair out and in front of your
- shoulders so we can see how long it is and the thickness of your hair.
- Never have your hair pulled back in your photo
- Use minimal makeup or no makeup. We need to see you as natural as possible
- Ensure the photo is taken at eye level
- If you are in a wheelchair or have any disabilities that you can't stand up, simply let us know more in the YOUR EXPERIENCE box
PHOTOS THAT WILL NOT ACCEPTED
- Photos with coloured background, outside backgrounds or with other people
- No black and white photos
- No Selfies
- Photos taken from above or below angles
- No Photos with Sunglasses, Hats or accessories
- No photos with tongues sticking out or hand gestures
HEAD AND SHOULDERS
Simply position the camera to be above your head and down to your shoulders as per the photo here.
Remember if you have longer hair to ensure that your hair is out and in front of your shoulders
FULL BODY PHOTO
Simply position the camera to above your head to below your feet.
Ensure there is no mess or clutter in the photo behind you.
Ensure to wear clothing that is not too loose. no jackets, jumpers etc. We need to see the shape of your body to see if you fit the costume brief.
Remember, we are after all shapes and sizes. What you may think is a flaw, could be what you end up being booked for !
