12. Crying: Some children will cry during their first few lessons. Because of their young age, most children are not able to express themselves through verbal language so crying is their way of communicating. Crying can be your child's natural response to a new environment. As most parents can tell the difference between a distressed cry and a "fake" cry, ISR instructors are also trained to decipher between the two. Even though most students do cry during the first few lessons they still learn the necessary survival skills. Crying can be a good thing in the case where a child would fall into a body of water unnoticed. Their cry would alert anyone around that they are in the water and should be taken out. Please feel free to contact your instructor if you have any further questions regarding this.
13. Instructor Contact: If you will be late or absent please call or text your instructor (please save your instructors contact for easy access during your session)
