  • Deep Green Historic Building Survey

  • Purpose

The Preservation Green Lab, of The National Trust for Historic Preservation, is developing case studies of high-performance historic buildings.  Showcasing unique buildings that successfully blend historic preservation and measured energy performance, these case studies will provide inspiring stories and best practices, including detailed information about project financing, energy performance, and historic preservation approaches.

There are nine sections to this survey.  After you complete a section, you can navigate to the next section by clicking the 'next' button at the bottom of the page.  If you need to come back to your responses at a later date, keep clicking 'next' to navigate to the end of the survey and click the submit button to save your progress.  You will then receive an e-mail with a link to access your submission at a later time.

  • Energy Performance Data Requirement

Important: To qualify as a deep energy retrofit, the retrofit must achieve energy reductions of 30% or greater. You must quantify performance by submitting energy performance data or energy modeling results.  If data is not yet available, please provide a modeling report, and provide actual energy performance data within one year of completion of work

  • Do you agree to provide energy performance data to Preservation Green Lab?*
  • Does your building achieve 30% or greater in energy reductions?
  • Contact Information (1/9)

  • *We are collecting this data so that we have a way to follow-up on your case study submission.  This data will be not be shared with other parties, except if you agree  to having it published as part of the case study.
