Upload three (3) letters of recommendation written on official letterhead with the signature and contact for the individual making the recommendation. The individual making the recommendation should be one that has personally interacted with you, excluding relatives, through supervision, instruction or guidance. This individual should be able to vouch for your character and/or abilities and activities. Select individuals to provide recommendations from the list below:
- H.S. Teacher or Guidance Counselor/Advisor
- Community Service Organization Personnel
- Minister, Pastor or Church Leader
- Civic Leader (i.e. Politician, Government Official, etc.)
- Mentor
- Employer
- Youth Club or Youth Group Leader
- Coach
The letters must:
- Be submitted on official letterhead
- Include the signature of the recommending individual
- Include the contact information of the recommending individual for verification
- Note: Letters of recommendation written by relatives are not acceptable.
If you have waived your FERPA rights to view recommendations from school-related officials, please follow the following submission procedures:
- Inform the individuals who are making the recommendation of the application due date and letter requirements.
- Ensure they submit the recommendations directly to the Third Vice President and Scholarship Committee Chair by the due date: thirdvp@bcacdeltas.org
- Upload a document that explains you have waived your FERPA rights and from which individuals we can expect the letter(s). You may upload this document where recommendations are uploaded below.
