Veterinary care for foster to adopt animals is provided by Dr. Kat during the foster period. You will need to bring foster animals to Kat Vet in Ponchatoula for booster vaccines and spay/neuter if not already completed. Please text our Kat Vet number for any veterinary related questions during the foster to adopt period. Adoption donations are $250-500 (unless otherwise noted) for dogs/puppies, $125 for cats/kittens, $100 for rabbits, and $50 for Guinea Pigs. The donation helps cover spay/neuter, microchip with free registration, vaccines for dogs/cats (initial set based on age, may need more boosters with your vet), intestinal parasite screening and deworming, FeLV testing for cats/kittens, heartworm testing for dogs (if over 6 months & positive dogs will be started on treatment), and current on heartworm/flea prevention.* This field is required.Adoption donations are NON-REFUNDABLE.

For puppies and kittens, the foster to adopt period is generally 1 week or until the next adoption event. For adult dogs and cats, the foster to adopt period is generally 2 weeks, until the next adoption event, or until/if we receive another qualified applicant. Please text often with updates.
