Nearly two years into the COVID-19 pandemic, many places around the world still see no end in sight to infections, lockdowns, and their implications. Midwives that deliver babies safely regardless of the circumstances are spread thin and must live with the possibility that they can catch COVID. Counselors must help an increasing number of women and girls cope with the aftermath of abuse and violence.

But UNFPA and countless dedicated healthcare workers - everyday heroes! - are still there for women and girls, no matter what.
