ADVOCACY COMMITTEE:
The Advocacy committee focuses on implementation of any applicable legislative agenda that effects PCHS; develops an annual advocacy plan in conjunction with PCHS and the Executive Committee and CEO; identifies advocacy best practices and implements them as appropriate; builds partnerships with organizations that have similar views; is responsible for advocacy education of PCHS, Inc. board members; develops educational materials and programs to improve PCHS, Inc. board members’ advocacy skills.
Committee consists of appointed and interested member of the Board. Each year new members may join the committee appointed by the Board president including the designated Advocacy Committee chair. Nonvoting ex officio member is the PCHS CEO, Non board members participating on the committee may vote to recommend actions or motions to the Board of Directors.
Resource Development Committee:
- Consist of appointed and interested members of the Board. The Chief Executive Officer and the Corporation staff person responsible for marketing shall be nonvoting ex officio members of this committee;
- Work with the Board Chairperson and Chief Executive Officer to design a resource development plan that consists of:
- A calendar of events and goals;
- Strategic relationship building in the community;
- Fundraising activities including event planning, programs, and public information efforts as needed; and
- Supporting community events and agencies that contribute to the wellbeing of PCHS patients and/or staff.
- Be responsible for the Resource Development Committee budget as appropriated by the Board of Directors;
- Work with the Chief Executive Officer in order to conduct community outreach, strategic relationship building, fundraising activities and events; and
- Attend supported community events as its members are able.
AD HOC COMMITTEE:
A Board appointment, motion, or resolution shall establish an ad hoc committee in response to recommendations by a standing committee of the Board.
- A Board ad-hoc committee is created to advise the Board.
- When the Board takes action to establish an ad hoc committee, the Board will also assign a specific charge and suggested membership.
- Membership on an ad hoc committee may include: currently elected Board members, former Board members and associate members.
- An ad hoc committee meeting is open to all Board members.
- Recommendations resulting from an ad hoc committee action will be presented by the Chairperson, or a member of the ad hoc committee, at a Board meeting.
- Minutes and attendance will be taken at all ad hoc committee meetings.
