Each aircraft has a story — what is the story of yours? Tell us the inspirational, entertaining, and informative true-life story behind an aircraft that you own, or that you once owned, and what makes (or made) it interesting.

Share your story as part of EAA's Pilot Your Own Adventure Contest, supported by Flight Outfitters, and you might just win the AirVenture camping experience of a lifetime, or one of several other exciting prizes.

Every airplane has a “soul” — maybe it’s the story of its operational history, or the people that it connected. Maybe your aircraft was passed down through generations, maybe it saw military service during wartime, set records, or flew or trained notable people in peacetime. It doesn’t matter if there were thousands — or even tens of thousands — of the type built, or if it’s rare or even unique, every airframe has tales to tell.

The contest runs from January 14, 2022 through March 14, 2022 at 5 p.m. CDT. All online entries must be received by the end of the contest period. Mail-in entries must be postmarked by March 14, 2022 and must be received by EAA on or before March 21, 2022.
