    Road Patrol / Correction Deputy Application
  • This application is for both Road Patrol Deputy or Corrections Deputy.

    This application provides the basis for a more detailed background. False, misleading or imcomplete information will be grounds for denial of employment or termination of employment.

    Applicants will be evaluated on penmanship, grammar, spelling and completeness of this questionnaire.

  • INSTRUCTIONS

    1. Read every question carefully. Answer every question completely, even
      if redundant. If the question does not pertain to you write “N.A.” within
      the appropriate space.

    2. Applicants are required to submit copies of the following documents with this questionnaire:

      • EMPCO test results for written test for both Road Patrol (waived if academy graduate) or Corrections positions.
      • EMPCO test results for physical agility test required for Corrections.

        The following documents will be needed later on in the hiring process, if selected:

      • Birth Certificate
      • Current Driver’s License
      • Social Security Card
      • High School/GED Diploma
      • College Diplomas
      • Military Discharge Papers (DD214 Long Form)

    3. Certified or certifiable applicants Road Patrol are required to submit copies of the following documents with this questionnaire:
      1. Copy of MCOLES letter of progress toward certification as a law enforcement officer (certified applicants only).
      2. Copy of MCOLES training certificate (certified officers only).
        (Under Michigan rules for Corrections Deputies who work in the Jail both the Empco written and physical test results are required at the time of application.)

    4. RELEASE OF INFORMATION WAIVER

      Complete the RELEASE OF INFORMATION WAIVER by carefully following these instructions:

      • Download and Print RELEASE OF INFORMATION WAIVER
      • Read the Release carefully
      • Print clearly in black ink
      • Complete the upper portion of the Release by filling in your name and Social Security Number
      • Send in the RELEASE OF INFORMATION WAIVER along with other required Documents.

    5. All requested documents must be returned to the Tuscola County Sheriff’s Office.
