    • Communication is key - Everyone must download the Group Me app. There are separate Group Me Threads for each age. If you are not on the Group Thread please reach out to Coach Mims so you can be added. You can also follow us on social media (IG, Twitter, Facebook) @D1EliteFB for all social accounts. Please READ the group messages and check Social Media frequently. It is very helpful to the coaching staff to be efficient in communication and not have to have 50+ text chains going. We want you to have all information you need ASAP and we need your help reading what we put out there. We are all busy and want to respect each other's time.
    • Zorts and Player Registration - A link to the Zorts Card for your kid will be sent in the Group Thread. You must complete all steps and register your son via Zorts for them to be eligible for tournaments - You will be asked to upload a copy of your child's birth certificate or driver's license during registration so be prepared. If you are not registered through Zorts you can not play in certain tournaments. Each tournament is different. I will post a link as well for you to be able to upload your child's Birth Certificate. There are some tourneys that do not use Zorts and I will have to compile a book with all Birth Certs in it for player registration and check in at the tourney. If I do not have the Birth Cert they can not play. Please don't make me chase you down last minute for it.
    • Travel - 12u Players will not be allowed to mix with 15u and 18u players at the hotel. 12u players must be accompanied by a parent at all times when traveling. You will be responsible for your 12u player at all times other than the game being played. Once a game is over they will be returned to you until the next game starts so a parent or appointed guardian must be present at all games to supervise their children during downtime. 15u and 18u traveling and staying in the team hotel will be representing not only you but will also be representing our organization. They will be expected to behave properly at all times. Any behavior that is unacceptable will be dealt with on a case-by-case basis and could result in being removed from the team.
    • Tournament Schedules - We have no control over tournament playing times or schedules. The format is simple. For a 2 day tournament, the 1st day is pool play and we will play 2-4 games that day depending on the schedule. Bracket play is normally day two and most tournaments are single elimination. We will play until we are eliminated or we win the tournament. That could mean 9am or 9pm and we can not control nor do we know times until they are announced.
    • Money - Money is expected to be paid on time. Anyone having hardships or issues please let me know and I will do my best to work with you. We want all these young men to be able to play and will have fundraising opportunities available. If you are not willing to fundraise then you may just pay the fee.
    • Team Parents/Volunteers - We will be asking for parent volunteers to help with coolers and snacks for these young men. They play in hot and fast-paced environments. The Team will supply the drinks and Gatorades but we will need parents to assist in getting the coolers to the field that the team is playing on to ensure proper hydration for all. We may ask parents for other volunteer duties throughout the year. Any help in these areas is greatly appreciated.
