We thank you for your 2022 Alumni Membership contribution to the Leadership Kentucky Foundation. Your gift will go to support programming that aims to teach, connect, and engage leaders across Kentucky. In recent years, we have also expanded programming to include New Executives to Kentucky, Elevate Kentucky for young professionals, and BRIGHT Kentucky for Eastern Kentuckians.
In addition to your alumni membership, we invite you to consider a contribution to one or more of the scholarship funds below.
Scholarship Information:
Established in 2016, the Angie Woodward Scholarship honors our longest-serving leader who was a class member of Leadership Kentucky in 1988, President from 1989 — 2001, and a member of the Leadership Kentucky Board of Directors from 2011 - 2016. The scholarship is available to LKY class members seeking financial assistance for program participation.
Lisa Murrell was a member of the 2008 LKY Class when she was diagnosed with lung cancer. Since Lisa had never smoked, she and her doctor discovered the most likely suspect - radon. In memory of her brave fight against cancer and Lisa’s spirit of courage, compassion, selflessness, and inspiration, her classmates created a scholarship that has helped many across the state to participate in the Leadership Kentucky experience.
Named for the founder of Whitaker Bank and numerous Eastern Kentucky companies, the Elmer Whitaker Scholarship Fund will assist LKY candidates from Eastern Kentucky. The fund will provide financial assistance to Leadership Kentucky class members, activities, and initiatives in Eastern Kentucky counties so that participants can grow their communities and make connections across the Commonwealth. Eligible participants must reside in Eastern Kentucky.
Joan Riehm was an influential leader for her community and the Commonwealth and was one of the founders of Leadership Kentucky. Her influence in the program’s growth and development in the early years is immeasurable. She was the first woman to serve as Deputy Mayor for the City of Louisville and remained there for 15 years. In Joan’s memory, this scholarship is available to help Leadership Kentucky participants with the cost of tuition.
The Kentucky Women's Leadership Network (KWLN) created a scholarship for female participants. The goal of the scholarship is to involve women leaders in Leadership Kentucky programs for the purpose of improving the personal, professional, economic, and public status of all women throughout the Commonwealth.
The Wilson W. Wyatt Lifetime Alumni Society is an opportunity to give a one-time gift of $3,500 (or over 3 years) to become a lifetime alumni member of Leadership Kentucky. Your annual alumni dues will be paid for life.
