    REGISTRATION DEADLINE: Thursday, March 5


    COST:  A separate link will be sent for payment of a $10 REFUNDABLE deposit.


    7:45 AM: Meet in the FRONT parking lot of the Touchstone office (located in Southminster Pres. Church facility) at 643 Harding Place, Nashville, TN 37211. 


    COLLEGE VISIT: We will visit the University of Tennessee - Chattanooga for a campus tour, which includes lunch in the UTC dining hall.


    LUNCH: Provided


    LOOKOUT MOUNTAIN: From there, we drive up to Point Park at the top of Lookout Mountain to explore the park and discuss the historical significance of that historic location.

    DINNER: Bring money for a fast-food meal. $10 REFUNDABLE deposit will be given to the student in cash on the trip to be used toward the cost of their dinner.

    7:45 PM: (approximately): Arrive back at the Touchstone parking lot. We'll have students call parents when we are 30 mins. from Nashville.

    • I agree to allow my student to be transported to and to participate in the CiViL Liberties Let Freedom Ring Trip to Lookout Mountain, Chattanooga and The University of Tennessee at Chattanooga on March 9, 2026
    • I understand that my student’s participation is a privilege, not a right, and it is at the discretion of the CiViL leadership. Students will be placed in order of seniority (Order of priority: 1st - Seniors, 2nd - Juniors, 3rd - Sophomores, 4th - Freshmen). All students will be notified of their placement by the end of the day on Thursday, March 5. Submission of this form does not automatically guarantee my student a place on the trip.
    • My student will dress for active outdoor weather in school-appropriate clothing, and they will not bring anything on the trip that would be inappropriate for school. 
    • CiViL is a program of Touchstone Youth Resource Services, Inc. Touchstone has permission to honor my student publicly, including in the media.
    • Touchstone has my permission to photograph, videotape, audio-record and otherwise use my student’s likeness or speech on the internet, in print, or any other media.
    • I release CiViL, Touchstone Youth Resources, and all employees, volunteers, agents and representatives thereof, from all liability for injuries, including death, to the student named above, and for all claims, loss, or damages resulting from the student’s participation in any CiViL activity, including being transported to and from meetings, service projects or other events.
    • I assume full responsibility for all risk to the student while they are participating in any CiViL activity, and I assume full responsibility for any loss or damage caused by the student’s behavior while participating in CiViL activities.
    • I authorize Touchstone to obtain emergency medical aid for my child.
    • Each participant's temperature will be taken before they board trip vehicles. Fever or other symptoms of COVID-19, Flu, and RSV may disqualify my student from participation.
