The Trust operates a matched funding model whereby any Bonar Trust grant must be matched by the local church. All applications are means tested and are intended to meet an anticipated financial shortfall. The Trust expects to see some evidence of an individual raising personal support from personal supporters and other Trusts, over and above their church support.
We do not require a copy of your CV or covering letter. Should you wish to give us any supplementary information to support your application there is a box at the end of the form.
Prior to completing your application, to ensure that your application is correct (particularly the financial section), please discuss the details with your minister/pastor or person responsible for the training programme. If you wish to you can save the form so that you can show it to them, prior to submission. Submitting a form with errors causes extra work for all involved, so please be sure that all information is correct before submission.
Once you have completed the form, it will automatically be forwarded to your minister/pastor or person responsible for the training programme for their confirmation that they support your application, and that the information on this form is accurate. It is your responsibility to ensure that they confirm and submit it to us by the deadline below.
