TERMS & CONDITIONS FOR PAYMENT & ENROLMENT AT THE NEXT STEP PERFORMING ARTS:
When students either enrol or re-enrol we trust that parents will honour their commitment to The Next Step Performing Arts and pay all costs incurred and ask that all parents abide by the terms and conditions as set out below.
This Agreement is between The Next Step Performing Arts and the Student (where the Student is under the age of 18 years, the Parent/Guardian on behalf of the Student), is legally binding and is governed by the laws of the state in which the Student attends classes. This agreement is binding until we receive notice of cancellation as per the paragraphs below.
Fees
1. An annual enrolment fee of $60 Student / $80 Family is payable when completed enrolment forms are handed into the office. This fee is non- refundable.
2. Fees are invoiced before the commencement of each term and all students will be placed on a Term, monthly or fortnightly direct debit membership, through either a Credit Card or Bank Account. This service will be provided through EziDebit. A surcharge will apply for all payments made through credit card, debit card or pay pass.
3. All outstanding fees – for both costumes and classes – must be paid prior to productions or students will not be permitted to perform.
4. The Next Step Performing Arts and/or the service provider nominated by The Next Step Performing Arts may charge a merchant service fee, administration and/or transaction charge and any other late payment charges if the details you provide to us or the service provider are incorrect causing a stop, incorrect drawing from or no payment from your account. Any failed payments will be e-processed on a date determined at The Next Step Performing Arts’ discretion. The Next Step Performing Arts reserves the right to terminate your membership and/or provide your information to a debt collection agency due to payments falling in arrears (subject to applicable legislation).
5. The Next Step Performing Arts does not offer make-up classes for any missed or cancelled group or private sessions. Parents are required to give 24 hours notice of all cancellations for Private Lessons, otherwise class are required to be paid for in full.
6. If you are unhappy with the choice of classes you are required to complete the term within that class. Once the term is complete we require written notice to make any changes to your membership providing there is availability in the newly selected class.
7. A sibling discount of 5% is offered to families with more than one child attending classes. The first child will pay full price, the second child will receive a 5% discount, the third child will receive a 10% discount and every child after that will receive a 5% Discount.
8. In the event of a studio closure or lockdown due to government forced restrictions our classes will automatically switch to an online program and no refunds will be given for the remainder of that term unless we are unable to continure that class online in which the funds will be credited to the next term. Fees will also not be reduced for students that are required to self isolate inline with our current missed lessons policy.
Cancelation of your Membership / Cancelling your membership
9. Prejudice in any form or to the other terms of this Agreement, we exclude liability and reserve the right to cancel your membership as a result of this Agreement.
10. You may cancel your membership at any time by providing us with written notice of your intention to do so. Your cancellation will be effective on the last day of term in which you provide us with the cancellation notice. Therefore, your deductions will continue until the full term’s fees are paid.
11. By signing this agreement you agree to enrol your child to the nominated classes for 12 months. Your fees will be direct debited on a Monday of every fortnight starting on Monday 31st January 2022 and will be direct debited every fortnight until all 4 terms fees are paid off. If you wish to remove your child from participating in classes at The Next Step Performing Arts even at the beginning of a term you must send a written 2 week’s notice and you must pay for the whole of that terms fees.
Photography & Video’s
12. I give permission for my child to be photographed and videoed for The Next Step Performing Arts promotional purposes. ie: Concert DVD etc
13. In the interest of protecting the privacy of all our Students, we cannot allow any classes to be recorded or any Students to be photographed without our prior written consent. Any breach of this by you will entitle us to immediately terminate this Agreement.
Health / Injury
14. Parents are required to contact TNSPA to advise if a student will not be attending class, (this class will still need to be paid for.) Parents and students are reminded they must be punctual to class to ensure students do not miss out on the warm up, which is necessary to avoid injury whilst dancing. If a student is more than 10 minutes late to a class they will not be permitted to enter this class.
15. Whilst all care is taken TNSPA cannot be responsible for accidents or injuries. Dance does have risks and participation in classes at TNSPA acknowledges the risks involved. Parents/Students are required to tell their teacher BEFORE you commence a class if you have an illness or injury.
Behaviour of The Next Step Performing Arts Parents & Students
16. Please show respect whilst classes are running in other studios and keep noise to a minimum at all times. No running or acrobatics in the reception area or on the stairs is allowed.
17. Food or Drink (with the exception of water) cannot be taken into any Studio at any time. All Rubbish must be placed in the bins provided in the kitchen area.
18. The Next Step Performing Arts are not responsible for any lost or stolen property. Students are responsible for their own property at all times. The Next Step Performing Arts has a NO STEALING policy. Any student or parent caught stealing will be asked to leave and membership will be terminated immediately without any refund on fees paid.
19. The Next Step Performing Arts wants every Student to have a safe and enjoyable experience, therefore we reserve the right to terminate this Agreement without notice for behaviour by the Student or the Student’s Parent/Guardian that is verbal abuse, intimidation, discrimination, harassment, extortion, threats/acts of physical violence (or any other acts of unacceptable behaviour at the discretion of the directors) towards fellow Students, Parents/Guardians, employees or employees of Venues where classes are held.
20. I Agree not to disclose any information on ANY social media including in any form of group or personal pages on Facebook, Instagram etc… of any kind. I will not be involved in defamation or slander to outside parties in the form of social media or private messages / email, instant messages, text messages or phone conversation about TNSPA. If you have any problem or disagreement with TNSPA you will NOT disclose, post or share publicly any of the details or information exchanged between TNSPA and yourself. You will work out with TNSPA privately any issues that may arise.
21. The director of the school will place your child in the class which they deem appropriate to their current level of expertise. It is in ours and the students best interest we do this and any decision will have been made on a professional appraisal of your child’s current level of ability. ___________________________________________________________________________________
