The Saskatoon SPCA is currently recruiting foster families for canines. Please ensure that you provide as much information as possible. Your answers will be used to match your home to animals in need. A basic knowledge of animal care and behaviour, as well as a willingness to learn and/or attend further training is required. We welcome fosters who rent or live in an apartment or condo. We want to alert you that some landlords and management companies have size and breed restrictions, limits on number of pets, and/or require pet deposits or additional fees.

Foster dogs cannot be off-leash unless in your own fenced-in yard or home. Foster dogs cannot go to the dog park or meet other dogs who do not live in the home.

Please note: we typically cannot accommodate specific requests for dogs. Not all dogs at the shelter require foster care. We cannot guarantee hypoallergenic dogs or smaller breeds.
