Beautification Day

Main Street Amherst, along with the City of Amherst, will be hosting the annual “Beautification Day” on Saturday, May 16, 2026 from 9 a.m. – 11 a.m. This event is being held in conjunction with the countywide Beautification Day sponsored by the Lorain County Commissioners.

Volunteers are needed to help with the clean-up along the downtown Amherst business district, the Old Spring, and other downtown areas. Bring a broom, dust pan, clippers, and/or a rake. Trash bags and gloves will be provided.
